Lion Steve Rethwisch reported that as of last night, this year's annual steak fry has been Awesome and looks to have raised around $6200 to $6600 once all receipts and refunds have been totalled. Great job to Lion Tom Webster and the Steak Fry committee and team.
Lion Steve Rehmann reported that he has not heard anything back from Iowa City concerning this project, but that that was expected as the manufacturer stated it would be at least a 2 week lead time on the lens.
Lion of the Year and Induction of New Officers will take place at the June 30th Regular Business Meeting. Please plan on attending as mentioned earlier in this newsletter.

Discussion was had concerning the ditch cleaning this year. The High School baseball team has declined to help this year with the project due to Covid concerns. A new group is needed to help with this Community Service Project. Lion Larry Jucnker will reach out ot the Boy Scout troop to see if they have merit badge earners willing to help out.
Discussion was had as to the International Convention this year being held virtually. The cost for the virtual convention is $50.00 if it had been paid before a certain date and now is $75.00.
Lion Jess Lewis asked if he heard the details correctly that there was a cost of the convention. Lion Larry Juncker, PDG Cliff Weldon and Lion Steve Rehmann all confirmed that there is, in fact, a cost associated with the virtual meetings. Discussion was had and it was confirmed that the club would reimburse members for attending. Lion Steve Rehmann had already paid his registration and Lion Larry Juncker had expressed interest.
VP Tom Webster announced that the budget for the new year will be forth coming in the next week or two.
Lion President Randy Kaye brought up that he had received information regarding this years Dragon Boat Festival and ask who would be in charge of the Saturday morning breakfast. Lion Larry Juncker stated that per Club policy, he, being hte 3rd VP elect would look into the festival and provide an initial report at the next Regular business meeting. The Festival this year is Saturday August 13th and Sunday August 14th. A sign up sheet will be provided at the next and successive meetings. Anyone wishing to email a request to help out may do so by contacting Lion Larry Juncker
Lion Larry Juncker has put together a Cashier signup sheet for next year as well as a sign up sheet for members to provide programs for the Non Board meeting Wednesdays of next year. The 3rd Wednesday of each month until further notice has been decided to be our Monthly Board Meeting days. It was felt that this would allow more members to attend and see what happens at a board meeting. Any member is alwasy welcome at board meetings as wellas business meetings. Lion Jim Gill has offered to provide speakers for July, Lion Steve Rehmann lined up speakers for the ssecond Wednesday of July, August and September. Lion Larry Juncker will find speakers for the month of August.
